The Lexington Senior Services Commission is inviting the public to learn about a new type of senior housing known as Accessory Dwelling Units.
ADU’s provide an alternative for those who wish to age in place, by staying in their current homes and neighborhoods. ADU’s are also helpful for those seeking affordable housing, smaller or more accessible housing options, and/or assistance from family members or caregivers.
The Commission will be hosting three public input and education sessions within the next several weeks about ADU’s.
Each session is free, open to all ages and will be held at the Lexington Senior Center (195 Life Lane). The session dates are:
- Wednesday, April 10 from 9 – 10:45 AM
- Tuesday, April 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
- Tuesday, May 7 from 2 – 4 PM
