The LFUCG Task Force on Neighborhoods in Transition is hosting a public forum on race, class, and development. The task force is headed by council member James Brown and comprises a broad group of Lexington leaders in housing, planning, real estate, social services, human rights, and law. It has been meeting for over a year with the mission “To identify ways to protect vulnerable residents from the consequences of neighborhood redevelopment and transformation especially displacement, with an emphasis on preserving the history and the culture of communities.”
