Dear Neighbors,

Whether your neighborhood floods or you live near an area that will experience intense new development now or in the future, this meeting is an opportunity to educate yourself and your neighborhood about how to improve stormwater management in Lexington. The Urban County Council has agreed to start working on stormwater issues later this year.

We have three exceptional panelists who will speak briefly and answer questions:

Ken Cooke, retired employee from the Kentucky Division of Water associated with Friends of Wolfe Run, Kentucky Water Watch, and Waterways Lex..

Dr. John McMaine, University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension, Associate Professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering with a focus on water management, stormwater, flooding, and climate resilience.

Eve Miller, Senior Planner, Long Range Planner for the Lexington Urban County Government; Eve is working on updating and improving Article 19 of Lexington’s Zoning Ordinance which deals with floodplain protection.
