Planning Seeks Input on New ADU Ordinance

from Grace Coy in LFUCG Planning:
Good afternoon,

The Lexington Division of Planning is looking for your feedback on the proposed zoning regulations for Accessory Dwelling Units in Lexington!

For the past few months, Planning staff has been putting together text amendments for Lexington’s zoning ordinance that would allow ADUs on eligible lots in most residential zones within our urban service area. The drafted regulations also include general rules for ADU eligibility, maximums for ADU size & height, parking, and much more! These changes have been summarized for your review in the attached PDF.

Staff will be hosting a public input event focusing on this proposal at the Lexington Senior Center on August 20th at 6pm. There, we will have a brief presentation on the proposed changes followed by open discussion between attendees and Planning staff. We will also be providing time for citizens to record their feedback and submit those comments to staff. If you are able to attend, please RSVP to this event (it’s free) through Eventbrite: bit.ly/ADU-event-0820

Not able to make the meeting? We still very much want your feedback. If you have some time, please let us know your comments on the draft by filling out the online version of the input form that will be used during the August 20th meeting: bit.ly/adu-form-0820. This form will remain open for comments until 5pm on August 23rd.
